This Key Learning Area is designed to develop the skills to allow students to investigate natural phenomena and made environments, design and make products, systems and environments in order to meet specific needs and to assess, select and use a range of technologies. Key themes encompass the strands Built Environments, Earth and its Surroundings, Living Things, Physical Phenomena, Products and Services, Information and Communication.
Technology is used to assist students in many areas, including acquiring basic literacy and numeracy skills, and is integrated throughout the curriculum. Computers are used by teachers to promote the active involvement and engagement of students in their learning. We presently have a computer room and laptops in classrooms for use with Interactive White Boards and by staff and individuals.
